Signal exists because some of the best customers a local business can have never search for it. They become customers because someone reached out at the right moment with the right message. That is what an outbound engine does, and it is a long way from a bulk-mail tool.
It starts with a profile, not a list
Before a single contact is gathered we define who the right buyer is: which industries, which cities, what size, and what signals say they are ready. A new location, a change in ownership, a hiring notice. The profile is what makes the list worth building.
The list carries its own lawful basis
Every contact on a Signal list is built from published business information and carries a record of why it is lawful to contact them under Canada’s anti-spam legislation: consent, an existing relationship, or a conspicuously published address with no opt-out statement. If a row does not have a basis, it does not get sent. The rule is enforced in the sending system, not in a policy document.
The send domain is not your brand domain
Outbound mail goes from a dedicated domain, warmed over weeks and monitored for reputation. Your main domain, the one your clients and your bank email, never carries cold mail. If a sending domain is ever burned, it is replaced; your brand is untouched.
Sequences are short, specific and approved
The pipeline drafts each sequence from your profile and the contact’s signals. You read it before it runs. Every message identifies the sender and carries a working unsubscribe. Three or four touches, spaced out, and then it stops.
A reply is a counted lead
When a contact replies, the sequence stops for them automatically and the reply lands in the CRM as a lead with its source attached. It shows up in the same monthly report as the calls from your website, because both engines feed one counter.
Why we built it for ourselves first
Signal is the system we use to grow Crusader Digital. We productized it because every piece of it, from the compliance view in the database to the approval digest, had to work for us before we would sell it. That is also why it is sold as an add-on: outbound sends people to your site and your profile, and if those are weak, the replies go nowhere. Beacon first, Signal second.
