Above All Awnings: off paid search, 533 enquiries and counting

The situation

Above All Awnings designs and installs awnings, canopies and pergolas across Toronto and the GTA. In spring 2025 their site averaged position 29 on Google for the searches that mattered, and most of their search traffic was paid: 2,596 visits from search ads between April and September 2025. When the ads stopped, the visits stopped.

What was built

The standard Beacon engine, nothing exotic:

  • Dedicated city pages. Mississauga, Oakville, Vaughan, Burlington, Markham, Toronto and Brampton, each written for that city with real local detail.
  • Google Business Profile rebuilt and kept active. Categories and services cleaned up, then posts and photos every week.
  • Competitor defence. Two direct competitors with keyword-stuffed business names were reported and dropped the keywords, which moved Above All Awnings up the map.
  • Review requests after every job. A text and an email asking for a Google review when each job closed.
  • On-page SEO and tracking. Titles, schema and internal links fixed, and every form enquiry logged with its source.

Google clicks more than tripled over the season, and the average position moved from 32.6 in May 2025 to 11.9 in September 2026. Paid search went from the main source of visits to effectively nothing. Organic took its place.

The enquiries followed. The client’s lead sheet shows 533 website enquiries in 2026 up to October 14, with 113 in the best 30 days (May 17 to June 16) and 114 in the last 90 days, well into the quiet end of awning season.

The honest footnotes

  • Lead counts are raw website form enquiries, before anyone sorts real jobs from tyre-kickers. They are the client’s own records, not ours.
  • Search Console only holds data for this site from May 2025, so the cleanest like-for-like comparison is May to September.
  • “Above All Awnings” itself is the top search, and branded searches grow when more people see the business everywhere else on Google. We count that as a result, but we show it separately so you can judge.

What it cost

The client is on the Full Local Growth tier. These numbers are what that tier is designed to produce. We do not promise them, because every market is different, but we can show you where your market sits before you decide.
